Welcome to CCW of California Providing CCW and Firearm Courses in El Dorado County since 1987.
As someone who has been teaching CCW classes for 38 years, mid-2023 marked the end of an era for myself and my company. It is a fact of life that all good things must come to an end, whether they are positive or negative experiences, and whether they occur at the right or wrong time. Every journey has a beginning and an end. Therefore, after much consideration, I have decided to slow down and stop teaching CCW Classes. If you have enrolled in my September or October 2023 classes, I have already refunded your payments. I will provide more information and recommend other classes in the future. I would like to express my gratitude to all of my dedicated students and friends who have attended my classes throughout the years. Sincerely, Rob Charny

Due to the detailed nature involved with conducting these background checks, appointment times and processing times can take multiple months. During the NEW application process, the applicant may be asked to schedule an interview appointment for a new Concealed Carry Weapon license. If the applicant is RENEWING a Concealed Carry Weapon license in El Dorado County, they may not apply until 120 days before the expiration date listed on their current Concealed Carry Weapon license. The El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office says that CCW Permit holders using facial coverings due to the COVID-19 pandemic, while legally carrying their weapon, will not be in violation of Penal Code 25300(a).
